Keyword ranking: To get best results

Keyword research analysis provides keyword ranking which is essential to get the best search engine ranking for your website, article or blog post. In this article you will learn how to do keyword research analysis. A keyword in terms of search engine optimization (SEO) is a word or words that people type in when they search for something. If it consists of one to three words it is called a short-tail keyword otherwise it is called a long-tail keyword.

To get the best keyword ranking you have to find out what phrases people use often and use them in your article. Keywords are placed in the heading and as the first words in the text body, once for every one hundred word. Finding a keyword that is not too competitive is nothing but keyword ranking. The best keyword to use is one with a lot of searches, but does not have too many websites targeting it.

Go to Google Keyword Tool and type in a phrase, you will get a list of related keywords and the monthly searches for that keyword. When you find your keyword or list of keywords, go to the Google page and type in your keyword within quotation marks to find how many websites contain those keywords. If your keyword is targeted by less than 40,000 other websites, it is a good one to use; otherwise the keyword is competitive. Always aim for long-tail than short-tail keywords.
